Many people think food mastery is to LOOK fit, ripped, attractive, wise. But it is possible to look wise but be unreliable,
to look attractive, but be alone, to look ripped, but be weak.
The truth is to master food is to BE fit, strong, good, dependable. Set your mind on being honest, and don't concern yourself with looks. Only then you can succeed in your purpose.
You may not know everything about food or biology but you intuitively know that Junk and Winning don’t go together. Strength is about applying whatever makes you the capable of Fulfilling your Purpose.
Know Your Food
To master food you must know what your food is.
Energy (Calories)
Your body needs energy to do anything and energy is measured in calories.
If you eat more energy than you spend, you store it. Too much stored energy can cause diseases(malfunctions) in your body.
If you use more energy than you eat, then you will use the stored energy. If you run out of stored energy you will starve.
Sugars (Carbs(Carbohydrates))
Sugar is an energy source which comes in 3 forms. Sugar (Simple Sugar) Starch (Complex Sugar) Fiber
Energy Design Goals Provide a stable stream of energy to your body according to how much you spend.
Store a small amount for emergencies according to how abundant your resources are.
Sugar (Simple Sugar)
1 Gram of Sugar = 4 Energy Calories
This is easy to digest(prepare) energy and addictivly sweet.
Simple Sugar provides a quick spike in blood sugar as it is all digested simultaniously. Most foods you find at the store are as full of as much sugar as can be tollerated. So be careful.
Check out this Liberty Strategy for sugar addictions.
Starch (Complex Sugar)
1 Gram of Starch = 4 Energy Calories
Starch is a long chain of Simple Sugars which take more time to digest for energy. Starch provides a steady stream of sugar until the chain is finished dissolveing.
These are not often listed on labels.
To get this amount, subtract the fiber and sugar from the total carbohydrates.
Fiber (Sealed Sugar)
1 Gram of Fiber = Effectivly 0 Energy Calories
This Sugar is protected by bonds that are not digestable. Fiber also helps you feel full.
Fiber slows other Sugars from being digested as quickly by thickening the food in the intestines.
Insoluble Fiber absorbs water Soluble Fiber forms into a gel.
